Step 1 what is your home made of?

You'll need to understand what you are fixing your roller shutters on to. Is your wall Heble, brick, timber etc.

Step 2 What type of windows do you have?

Establish what type of windows you have. If they are Awning windows (Ones that wind out) you will need to attach your new roller shutters on the face of the window or the outside area add 110mm to allow for face fitting the shutter

Step 3 Measuring the width for your window

For standard windows you measure the internal width of the window. Measure width at the top, middle and bottom.

Step 4 Height

For height measure both the left and right sides, doing this will establish if your windows are square. Don't worry if they are not, we make allowances for this.

Step 5 installation type

Step 6 Obstacles

Look for anything that sticks out as this will mean you will need packing or angle to get a good fit and blackout seal.
